Every Kiwi has their favourite scone, slice, biscuit or cake that will lift their spirits at morning tea. And our cookbooks are chockful of recipes for flling the biscuit tins.

This morning tea offers a refection on the traditions and importance of baking to New Zealanders, stories of great bakers and not so great bakers, some insight into the particularities of baking and an opportunity to share your best baking and try the baking of others.

Entry is by bringing a plate of your favourite morning tea baking – five or six homemade biscuits or scones or cakes or slices. Or you can pay $5 on the door. No pre-sales.
