After visiting the pressed plants in the herbarium and botanical drawings at the Natural History Museum in London, Lynn Kelly has based Specimen on these collections.

The original botanical collections and journals of Sir Joseph Banks and Sydney Parkinson’s sketches and drawings, from the first James Cook voyage to New Zealand on the Endeavour (1768 to 1771) are held in the collections in London.

Lynn has been creating botanically-themed jewellery for many years, often using historical botanical illustrations as source material.
