More than 500 members of secondary school and adult choirs from Christchurch and around New Zealand find their voices in triumphant fashion on the anniversary of the September 4 earthquake.
The programme will include a short burst of songs from the men of the ChristChurch Cathedral Choir under the baton of Brian Law, and from the NZ Secondary Students’ Choir with musical director Andrew Withington.
The massed choirs then join the Christchurch Symphony Orchestra for the beautiful Fauré Requiem. Andrew Withington conducts. Soloists are Amina Edris and Daniel O’Connor. This will be a chance for people to feel the spirit of Canterbury renewed and strengthened after the events of the last year. Don’t miss out on what is sure to be a spectacular, stirring performance.
