This stirring brass band and percussion concert will feature a brand new commissioned short work by leading New Zealand composer Gareth Farr, which draws on the resilience of the people of this city. It will also include the memorial piece, Gallipoli.

Music will be played by New Zealand’s top brass band — Woolston Brass Band — and our premiere percussion group, Strike. The Memorial is a time to come together and draw strength from the sense of community that has grown from all that Canterbury has experienced.
