Childhood sweethearts living in Ti Kapa, Kaia is training to be an opera singer and Pascoe works on the fishing boats with his dad. Kaia’s ambition takes her to New York but she returns home to work in a fish factory and regain Pascoe’s affections.
Written by Miria George and Jamie McCaskill, the musical play has been performed in Australia, Canada and Hawai’i and was a popular hit at the New Zealand International Arts Festival 2010.
